Here is a recipe for a simple lasagna that you can make with just a few ingredients. Follow these few steps and you will be having a delicious dinner in no time! You will need a baking pan and enough aluminum foil to cover it.
Ingredients
- 1 box Oven ready lasagna noodles
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1/2 of White onion, diced (optional)
- 45 oz Your choice of pasta sauce
- 15 - 22 oz Ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Water per 5 lasagna noodles
- 1 tablespoon Garlic powder or Garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon Chili powder (optional)
- 1/2 tablespoon Pepper or to taste
- 1/2 tablespoon Salt or to taste
Steps
- Heat a pan to medium/medium high heat and add in the ground beef. When meat is half way cooked, add in the diced onion, garlic powder or garlic salt, chili powder (if you're using it), salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Coat the bottom of your baking dish with pasta sauce.
- Find out how many noodles you would like to use (I use about 12 noodles).
- Combine the water with the pasta sauce in a large mixing bowl. Add in the ricotta cheese after the water is combined with the sauce.
- Lay down the first layer of noodles (enough to cover the bottom). Coat the layer with the sauce mixture. Once that is applied, sprinkle over a little bit of mozzarella cheese (you will want to save some for the 3 - 4 layers you have), then sprinkle a little bit of the hamburger on the cheese. Do NOT add the mozzarella cheese on the top layer.
- Repeat step 5 until you are out of noodles which will be the 3 to 4 layers.
- Once your lasagna is all put together, cover in aluminum foil and bake for 40 - 50 min.
- Remove from oven and check the noodles, should be mostly done at this point. Add the remaining bits of mozzarella cheese on top now and bake for an additional 6 - 10 minutes uncovered.
- Remove from oven again and now you can cut it however you'd like.
